17/08/08 - Première médaille d’or pour le Kazakhstan aux JO de Pékin

Le jeune sportif kazakhstanais, Ilya Iline, a remporté la première médaille d'or à l'épreuve masculine d'haltérophilie des moins de 94 kilos disputée le 17 août aux Jeux olympiques de Pékin. A l'issu de deux exercices – arraché et dévissé (180 + 226 kg) il a amené la barre de 406 kilos.

Cette victoire au 9ème jour des Jeux olympiques a rapporté au Kazakhstan la 8ème médaille, dont une d'or, trois d'argent et quatre de bronze.
